My Internship Experience at Regione Lombardia

During my academic journey at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart, I had the opportunity to complete a curricular internship at Regione Lombardia, within the Directorate for Metropolitan City Development, Youth, and Communication. This internship proved to be an incredibly enriching and stimulating experience, allowing me to deepen my understanding of public administration dynamics and institutional communication strategies.

My Role and Activities Performed

The internship, which lasted four months (May-September 2023), was conducted in a hybrid format combining in-person work and remote working. Supported by my mentor, I had the opportunity to contribute to various activities, including:

Web and Social Media Content Creation: I contributed to developing the editorial plan for Regione Lombardia’s social channels, proposing strategic ideas to communicate initiatives aimed at young people.

Monitoring and Performance Analysis: I have explored analytical tools to assess the effectiveness of social media posts, tracking statistics and navigation data to optimize communication strategies.

Support for the management of the Giovani Lombardia platform: I contributed to the creation and updating of content for the dedicated website, ensuring that information was always current and easily accessible.

Participation in Event Organization: I had the opportunity to assist in the planning and execution of events related to Youth Policies, contributing to the promotion of calls for proposals and initiatives aimed at young people.

A Dynamic and Welcoming Work Environment

From the very first day, I felt welcomed by a team of skilled and approachable professionals. The work environment proved to be stimulating, encouraging collaboration and constructive dialogue. Thanks to the guidance of my mentor and interaction with colleagues, I gained new skills and improved my ability to work as part of a team.

An Experience I Recommend

This internship was not only a valuable opportunity for professional growth but also a chance for personal development. I was able to apply my academic knowledge, enhance my communication skills, and gain insight into the dynamics of public administration. It is a unique opportunity for anyone looking to delve into the world of institutional communication and youth policies!

Thank you to Regione Lombardia and the Generazione Lombardia team for this incredible experience!
